Trouble restoring from iCloud

Since the release of iOS 5 and now iOS 6, we can restore our Apple devices from the cloud with iCloud.

For space reasons, I stopped keeping a backup of my iPad on my computer, so I enabled BackUp to iCloud.

Yesterday, when updating from iOS 6 Beta to iOS 6, I had to do a clean install. Everything was fine until I tapped “Restore from iCloud”

I got this message:

“could not sign in apple ID couldn’t be created because of a server error.“

After banging my head for a while, I googled it and found this post in Apple’s forums: link here.

And it’s really simple:

1. Go to http://appleid.apple.com/

2. Sign in with our iCloud account

3. Update a new password, secret question and date of birth

And that’s it!

I was able to complete my restore successfully.
